IDD Direct Services Instructor - Boone, NC

Responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities meet their goals.  Provide adaptive skills training, positive integrative community experiences, and related educational activities.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards.  Implement participants’ goals according to their individual plans.  Assist participants with maintaining employment by providing vocational skills training with a focus on job expectations. Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc.  High school diploma, two years of experience in related area, and ability to effectively work with adults with disabilities required. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Full-Time with Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm schedule.  Excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Matching Retirement, Life Insurance, Mileage Reimbursement, etc.

Community Employment Job Coach - Lenoir, NC

Support individuals with disabilities in obtaining a job, learning workplace expectations, and performing job duties in a community employment job.  Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities.  Assess individual interests, natural supports, and skills to assure job placements are compatible with each individual’s needs.  Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies.  Need ability to work with adults with disabilities.  Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays).  High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Regional travel required among Caldwell, Catawba, and Alexander counties.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, matching Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc.

 

Part-Time Positions

IDD Direct Services Instructor - Available in Boone & Jefferson, NC

Responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities meet their goals.  Provide adaptive skills training, positive integrative community experiences, and related educational activities.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards.  Implement participants’ goals according to their individual plans.  Assist participants with maintaining employment by providing vocational skills training with a focus on job expectations.  Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc.  High school diploma required, two years of experience in related area preferred, and ability to effectively work with adults with disabilities required. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Part Time, 15-22 hours per week.  Monday-Friday, Day time hours.  Benefits include paid time off and matching 401K retirement plan for qualified employees. 

Production / Model Worker - Boone, NC

Perform production work, including packaging and product assembly.  Meet production rates and quality standards.  Must have the ability to demonstrate model work habits in production for individuals with disabilities.  Must be able to work in an ISO and FDA compliant environment and meet production standards.  Must be able to lift and move materials up to a weight 20lbs.  Part Time, Monday-Friday day-time hours up to 28 hours per week.  Hours based on production needs.  Background check required.  Benefits include paid time off.
