Group Home Shift Leader - Boone, NC

Assure residents’ health and safety while providing a home atmosphere.  Administer medications and support residents in their home with personal care, meals, and daily living skills.   Provide positive community integration experiences and related educational activities for day service participants.  Implement participants’ goals according their individual plans.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant/resident as required by applicable standards.  High school education and two years of experience in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Need ability to effectively work with adults with developmental disabilities.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Work 7 consecutive days (Wednesday to Wednesday) that include staying overnight, followed by 7 days off.  Full-Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Matching 401K Retirement, etc. 

Administrative Assistant - Boone, NC

Perform data entry of daily and monthly records in software applications.  Prepare reports and review for accuracy in Microsoft Office and other applications.  Record account transactions, reconcile statements, allocate expenses and prepare summary reports.  Provide back-up support for front office and multi-line phone system.  Assist in scanning/filing records and other general administrative duties.  Need ability to function in an office environment with effective oral and written communication skills.  Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy required. Computer proficiency required; including keyboarding, Excel, & Word experience.  High school diploma and experience in an administrative role or bookkeeping preferred.  Full Time: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. IDD Direct Services Instructor - Boone, NC

Responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities meet their goals.  Provide adaptive skills training, positive integrative community experiences, and related educational activities.  Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards.  Implement participants’ goals according their individual plans.  Assist participants in facility based services to meet manufacturing and quality standards.  Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc.  High school diploma, two years of experience in related area, and ability to effectively work with adults with disabilities required. Inventory/Quality Assistant - Boone, NC

Responsible for production material setup and restock in manufacturing facility.  Inspect finished product for quality and prepare for shipment.  Assist production manager with shipments and delivery. Community Employment Job Coach - Positions Available in Asheville & Hickory, NC

Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities, duties, and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities.  Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies.  Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays).  Regional travel required.  Prefer bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience with adults with disabilities.  Background and MVR check, driver’s license and vehicle required.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Matching 401K Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. 

Student Employment Education Instructor / Pre-Employment Transitions Specialist - Positions Available in Alexander, Ashe, Caldwell, Catawba, Surry, & Wilkes Counties

Plan and provide pre–employment services to students with disabilities based off of their needs and interests.  Provide job exploration counseling including vocational testing, community job shadowing and sampling, and self-advocacy training.  Assist with recruitment of students within the school systems and enrollment into program services.  Maintain positive interactions with community agencies (schools, VR, etc.)  Assure compliance with all applicable standards and maintain accurate and updated files. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field with 3 years’ experience working with youth in transition related services or a comparable combination of education and experience.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Job is integral to school operation and student presence, therefore, the use, scheduling, and approval of vacation requests will follow the school operation calendar.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Matching 401K Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc.  Position is based out of local High Schools.

Pre-Employment Transitions Regional Specialist - Positions Available in Asheville & Hickory, NC

Provide instructional coaching to Pre-Employment Transitions Specialists and assist in the coordination of instruction to students with disabilities. Ensure delivery of quality services that consist of job exploration counseling, instruction in self-advocacy, workplace readiness, post-secondary counseling, and community job shadowing and sampling experiences.  Ensure completion of required documentation and exchange programmatic information with varied team members across multiple settings.  Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between staff, schools, and agency partners.  Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.  Prefer Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field with three years of experience working with youth in transition-related services or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.  Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required.  Job is integral to school operation and student presence, therefore, the use, scheduling, and approval of vacation requests will follow the school operation calendar.  Full Time with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Matching 401K Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. Position is based out of local High Schools; regional travel required.
