Group Home Shift Leader - Boone, NC

Assure residents’ health and safety while providing a home atmosphere. Administer medications and support residents in their home with personal care, medical needs, meals, and daily living skills. Implement participants’ goals according to their individual plans. Supervise staff on shift and assure direct care is provided. Provide positive community integration experiences including shopping, socialization, and money management. Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant/resident as required by applicable standards. High school education and two years of experience in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Need ability to effectively work with adults with developmental disabilities. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required. Work 7 consecutive days (Wednesday to Wednesday) that include staying overnight, followed by 7 days off. Community Employment Job Coach - Positions Available in Lenoir and Asheville, NC

Support individuals with disabilities in obtaining a job, learning workplace expectations, and performing job duties in a community employment job. Develop community employment sites and provide on-site training of job responsibilities and appropriate social skills for adults with disabilities. Assess individual interests, natural supports, and skills to assure job placements are compatible with each individual’s needs. Maintain on-going communication and positive relationships between employers, program participants, and various agencies. Need ability to work with adults with disabilities. Must be flexible in work duties and work hours (will include some nights, weekends and holidays). High School Diploma and 4 years of work experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Regional travel required among neighboring counties. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required. Student Employment Education Instructor / Pre-Employment Transitions Specialist - Buncombe County

Plan and provide pre–employment services to students with disabilities based off of their needs and interests. Provide job exploration counseling including vocational testing, community job shadowing and sampling, and self-advocacy training. Assist with recruitment of students within the school systems and enrollment into program services. Maintain positive interactions with community agencies (schools, VR, etc.) Assure compliance with all applicable standards and maintain accurate and updated files. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in a human service related field with 3 years’ experience working with youth in transition related services or a comparable combination of education and experience. Background/MVR check with acceptable driving record, Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required. Job is integral to school operation and student presence; therefore, the use, scheduling, and approval of vacation requests will follow the school operation calendar. Full Time (Monday-Friday day-time schedule) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vacation/Holiday/Personal paid time off, Retirement, Travel Reimbursement, etc. Position is based out of local High Schools.

Part-Time Positions

Group Home Personal Care Attendant - Boone, NC

Assist residents in their home with personal care and hygiene goals, daily living skills, personal safety, recreation/leisure skills, and community activities, i.e., shopping, eating out, exercise, recreation, church, etc. Implement residents’ goals according to their individual plans. Administer medications and prepare meals. Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards. Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc. High school diploma and ability to effectively work with adults with developmental disabilities required. Need ability to keep accurate records and work independently. Must be able to actively assist participants in varied activities and locations related to service delivery. Background/MVR check with acceptable driving record, Driver’s License, and reliable vehicle required. Part Time. Evening and Weekend hours, 15-25 hours per week. Benefits include paid time off and mileage reimbursement.

Production Machine Operator / Model Worker - Boone, NC

Perform production work including machine operation, packaging, and product assembly. Meet production rates and quality standards. Complete production work at a thermoforming machine in a stationary position working at varied heights. Transport and position product around the production area. Must be able to lift and move materials up to a weight of 40 lbs. Must have the ability to act as a model for and work with people with disabilities. Part Time, 24-28 hours per week. Hours are scheduled between 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. No weekends or nights! Hours based on production needs. Background check required. Benefits include paid time off!
