Full-Time Positions
Community Employment Coordinator - Asheville, NC
Coordinate all aspects of supported employment, work adjustment, community-based evaluations, and other community employment programs. Provide all related services to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment. Supervise staff and ensure all standards compliance, internal reporting, funding reports, employer and client relations, and the hiring, supervision, and training of staff members in the department. Ensure vocational services delivered are person-centered and focused on developing client independence in the work setting. Prefer MA degree in appropriate field and two years’ experience in community employment or vocational related services, or BS degree and four years’ experience. Must be able to work with individuals with multiple disabilities and be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of setting and formats, facilitate meetings, and hire, train, and supervise multiple staff. Computer proficiency required: keyboarding, Excel & Word, MS TEAMS, and EIPD platform. Need ability to actively assist clients in varied activities and settings related to program delivery. Background/MVR check with acceptable driving record, Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required. Part-Time Positions
IDD Direct Services Instructor - Available in Boone & Jefferson, NC
Responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities meet their goals. Provide adaptive skills training, positive integrative community experiences, and related educational activities. Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards. Implement participants’ goals according to their individual plans. Assist participants with maintaining employment by providing vocational skills training with a focus on job expectations. Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc. High school diploma required, two years of experience in related area preferred, and ability to effectively work with adults with disabilities required. Background check, MVR check, Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle required. Part Time, 15-22 hours per week. Monday-Friday, Day time hours. Group Home Personal Care Attendant - Boone, NC
Assist residents in their home with personal care and hygiene goals, daily living skills, personal safety, recreation/leisure skills, and community activities, i.e., shopping, eating out, exercise, recreation, church, etc. Implement residents’ goals according to their individual plans. Administer medications and prepare meals. Keep accurate records and documentation of daily activities and progress for each participant as required by service standards. Act as an advocate and communicate professionally with other agencies, families, staff, etc. High school diploma and ability to effectively work with adults with developmental disabilities required. Need ability to keep accurate records and work independently. Must be able to actively assist participants in varied activities and locations related to service delivery. Background/MVR check with acceptable driving record, Driver’s License, and reliable vehicle required. Part Time. Evening and Weekend hours, 15-25 hours per week. Benefits include paid time off and mileage reimbursement.
